Five photograph albums, bound in leather, containing formal photographs chiefly of the Carroll family (Walter's parents and relations). Some are captioned. 2 boxes of photographs, formerly loose. Arranged roughly chronologically. Includes a number of photographs, chiefly of Ida, which were framed. Very few are captioned. File of modern (post 1950) photographs, including family parties and events. With 4 framed items: photographs Ida as a child, framed photograph of Walter's sister Jessie, framed and signed photograph of Walter. 7 oversize items: mounted photograph of a group (2 ladies seated, one lady standing, one child seated); 2 framed and mounted photographs of a child (IGC?) and of child and ?mother; framed cover by W Heath Robinson (original?) for "First Piano Lessons book II The Countryside" by Walter Carroll (publ. Forsyth); cover by Charles Polkard (original) for "Water Sprites" by Walter Carroll (publ. Forsyth) [removed from damaged frame Jan 2004]; hand-tinted photograph of Ida aged around 6 [removed from damaged frame Jan 2004]; framed and mounted photograph of WC, signed "yours faithfully Walter Carroll 25 Dec 1926".
