Commonplace book and later, scrapbook, started around 1899 by CF and continued by him to 1950. Compiled for his son Edgar. Contains verse, songs, jokes and anecdotes collected to mark various occasions, press cuttings (mainly letters to the Editor of the Manchester Guardian), and some letters. Also includes notice of the death of Henry Fuchs, 1903; card advertising CF's first concert after the First World War, at the Memorial Hall, [Manchester], 3 November 1919; note card featuring 'Happy birthday' written in German in the form of musical notes; printed text of a radio broadcast by CF, 3 June 1945. A large amount of the material is in German. Inside the back cover is an unidentified concert programme, 8 December 1894.
