Scope and content
A library of songs in MS, collected by the soprano Ena Mitchell. Some items are inscribed to Ena Mitchell. Some items are inscribed Vida Harford - these may be a separate collection, although the order in which the items were found implied all were part of a single collection.
Appraisal, destruction and scheduling
Detailed work needs to be undertaken to identify original MSS (as opposed to MS copies made of published works), autograph MSS, holographs etc. Some appraisal may be undertaken accordingly.
System of arrangement
Artificial arrangement in two series: songs autographed/dedicated to Ena Mitchell - probably autograph MSS; and those without dedication or additional information.
