Grieg sends Brodsky a revised plan: both Edvard and Nina will come to England at the end of November; the Manchester concert will be on 9 November but Grieg will communicate nearer the time. How much has changed since they last met: both Tchaikovsky and Brahms have died and no longer need to be mutually annoyed at each other's works. Grieg recalls the dinner party with the 2 great men at the Brodskys' in Kaiser Wilhelmstrasse. Grieg never met with Tchaikovsky again but did spend happy hours with Brahms in Vienna only a year ago. Grieg makes a final request that Brodsky gets rid of the confounded fog for the Griegs' visit to Manchester. Dated 3 Sep 1897.
